Wednesday 120905

There are 4 days left to get signed up for the Whole Life Challenge. Remember, you must also be paid by that time or you will not be allowed to participate! Here are some words of encouragement from one of the Whole Life Challenge creators:

by Michael Stanwyck, CrossFit Los Angeles

There comes a time when you stop settling for good enough and know that nothing less than great will do. You know it’s going to take something, something that you may not even know if you have yet.

There comes a time when you understand that there is another level, and that that’s where you want to live. You may find that what once pushed you has become routine, and the fire for something more starts to burn again.

There comes a time when you find that reasons “not to” have become unsatisfying and unrewarding. You may have repeated some excuses so often they actually appear to be true.

And there comes a time when one choice comes along that can alter everything.

The Whole Life Challenge Worldwide. Know yourself as the person you’ve always wanted to become.

It’s never to late to be who you might have been.

I’m making a SFH fish oil order in the next day or two. If you’d like some more info please let me know or check out the stuff I posted on Mel’s nutrition WOD page on Facebook. If you want to make sure you get some of this awesome fish oil (tangerine seems to be the most popular) get ahold of me before Thursday!!

WOD 120905
7 x 2(3 position stop snatch + 1 hi hang squat snatch)
Heavy but FAST. Rest 60 seconds

In this series, you will do 2 reps of the stop snatch complex, each immediately followed by a snatch from the third stop postion without any rebending of the torso. The three stop positions are 1) when the plates just lift off the floor 2) when the bar is just above the knee 3) when the bar is at the hip or “pockets”. There is some NSFW language in the music but this is an excellent demo of the movement.

For time:
5 rounds
7 Power snatch 115/75
10 Handstand pushups
