5 push ups
The photo you posted of a kip swing made me think of something I read in Brian MacKenzie’s “Power Speed Endurance” book. In his explanation of the kip swing, he says it’s a mistake to “break the midline by spreading your feet, overextending, and bending your legs as you pull yourself under the bar.” But I see a lot of people kip this way, especially women. In the photo you posted, is it really necessary for the woman to pull her feet up so far behind her? Does she really need to do this to generate enough momentum or is she wasting energy? Chazz? Andy?
